Having professionals goals is critical to a successful career. Having personal goals is key to getting more out of life. Boss Women Who Brunch founders Marty MacDonald and Ashley Cash help you crush both like a boss.
Good news! Getting what you want out of life, however you define it, is now easier than ever.
Yep you read that right. Ok, mostly right. We can’t make that promise, but we think we’ve discovered the path of least resistance.
Focus on What Matters
Here’s a personal example because we are all about transparency. We both work full-time jobs, and are full-time wives, daughters, friends plus part-time fitness enthusiasts. It’s tough building our dream for Boss Women Who Brunch, one brick at a time and balancing it all. But we’ve learned the key to reaching all our goals, is not trying to balance it all, but to get hyper-focused on the people you love (people always come first) and activities that matter most.
Let Go Of What Doesn’t
Everything else (including Instagram binges and weekly girls’ night outs) have to take a back seat. Because the truth is, we can have it all (that’s absolutely our plan), but we just can’t have it all right now. It’s a hard pill to swallow and it requires sacrifice, but aren’t your goals worth it? If it isn’t, you need to get some new goals.
Not sure what to let go? Check out this week’s resource, the Boss’ To Do List . Write down where you are spending your time (be honest about Facebook and Netflix). Are your activities more heavily weighted toward mindless activities that are taking you nowhere fast, or are you moving toward the goal? Let go of all of the stuff that doesn’t matter and watch what happens.
